PET’s technology will show up the medical imaging of the cells in your body that metabolize faster than normal cells, in a tri-dimensional panoramic view of all the body.

The main use of the PET Scan is to identify cancer and with this information evaluate the proper medical procedure to treat the illness. Other objectives of the PET Scan are:

1. Detection of any propagation of cancer to other parts of the body, besides the place where it originally originated.
2. Get an accurate evaluation of the efficiency of the treatment received for cancer.
3. Identify precisely any lung lesions or weird masses detected in any radiography or thorax x-ray.
4. Help on the control and treatment of lung cancer, by giving an adequate classification on the stages of the illness; having also detailed a follow-up after the treatment.
5. Detect the recurrence of any tumor before it evolves to any other illness.
